2 Large Capacity TES Solution In Basement

ESS Vietnam has supplied and installed a large capacity Cold Storage Tank (TES) solution of 14,700 kWh in the basement of the Resort's technical area . This solution helps the resort:

• Maximize Electricity Costs: The Chiller system is operated at night (off-peak hours) to produce and store 14,700 kWh of cooling capacity .

• Ensuring Continuous Cold Supply: This huge amount of reserve cold is released to supply the air conditioning system during the day (peak hours), helping the main Chiller system reduce load or stop operating, thereby reducing peak hour electricity costs.

• Perfect Integration: The basement location of the technical area is the ideal place to place the pool, helping to optimize the connection with the existing mechanical and electrical system without affecting the architecture and resort space of the hotel.

3 Investment Efficiency and Results Achieved

3.1 Installation Process Details

The construction process of the Cold Storage Tank in the basement was carried out with great care and precision:

1. Waterproof membrane inside the tank: Applying a specialized waterproof membrane inside the concrete tank is a key step to ensure insulation and prevent leaks.

2. Heat exchangers in the tank: Install heat exchangers, the most important component to perform the charging and discharging process effectively.

3. Main manifold and heat exchanger in tank: Complete the connection of heat exchangers to the main manifold, preparing for connection to the Chiller system.

4. Tank Access Doors: Install dedicated tank access doors, ensuring accessibility for maintenance and routine inspection.
